- The sea has broken through and the Koog is flooding — what do I do?
- Drag the matching material onto a weak point before it grows: sandbags for a low stretch of crest, brushwood Faschinen for slipping sod, a plank wall for seepage. Send a watcher's lantern over a section first if the flaw is still hidden.
- Why is a watch member moving so slowly, or not picking anything up?
- Members tire during a night. Drag a tired watcher to the Deichwachthütte for tea, or let them rest between nights — fatigue recovers over real time.
- The camera doesn't work when I try to make my member card.
- On a device or simulator without a working camera, use "Choose from library" instead — it needs no extra permission. If you denied camera access by mistake, open Settings → Deichwacht and turn Camera on.
- Does Deichwacht use real weather or flood-warning data?
- No. Deichwacht is a game. It does not read live weather, tide or water-level data and does not issue real flood warnings of any kind.
- Does the app work without an internet connection?
- Yes — Deichwacht works fully offline. It never needs a network connection.
- How do I reset my progress?
- Open Settings and choose "Start the season over."
